Taiwan Excellence makes its first appearance at the world’s largest fitness trade show with a kick-off event at which ten companies presented their award-winning hi-tech products. FIBO visitors can expect a wealth of smart technological developments and a wide-ranging program over the course of four days.
Taiwan Excellence launched its first-ever appearance at FIBO with a Grand Opening Press Conference showcasing the latest eco-friendly hi-tech fitness and rehabilitation equipment. The presentations on the first day of the show, kick off a four-day program that will give the expected 51,000 fair visitors the opportunity to experience the innovations of the participating companies from Taiwan. All of the fitness products on display are current winners of the Taiwan Excellence Award, which is presented by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). Trade visitors and fitness enthusiasts are cordially invited to visit the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion in Hall 7, Booth 7E35 at FIBO, the world’s largest trade show for fitness, wellness and health, featuring over 500 exhibitors from 36 nations from April 13-16.
Highlights at the opening event included SHENNONA’s Stampede workout system, which combines music with physical training, and Body Charger’s GB7007 Recumbent Linear Stepper, a 2-in-1 fitness and rehabilitation machine which relieves the joints and promotes their mobility. The Johnny G Spirit Bike proved just as interesting. A spinning bike that uses electronically controlled magnetic resistance to allow workouts to be repeated or differentiated on an individual basis.
The combination of personal conviction, professional product guidance and expert support by personal trainers, serves, to above all, demonstrate the advantages of these products. “The Taiwanese exercise equipment here at FIBO are all eco-friendly and combine technology and sports to offer workouts for rehabilitation and body fitness. I am confident that these innovations will bring positive changes to people’s healthy lifestyles,” explained Ching-Ting Hung, Director of Economic Division, Taipei Representative Office in the Federal Republic of Germany, Office Frankfurt am Main.
Wondercise Technology Corp. already fulfilled this promise on the first day of the fair and invited both fair visitors and online participants to partake in the Aerobics Class at the Wondercise Gym. On the other days of the show, visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in diverse activities and experience the other workout products in person:

To end a day of activities at the fair, a happy hour will be held daily from 4 to 6 pm at the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion. This is intended to allow visitors to share their impressions of the innovations in a relaxed exchange over a tasty bubble tea, a Taiwanese specialty. It is hoped that these exchanges will provide interesting insights and mutual enrichment.
In his opening remarks, Hung, Director of the Economic Department, noted that Germany is Taiwan’s seventh largest export market for fitness equipment and the second largest in the European Union after the Netherlands. “Taiwanese fitness equipment brands have advanced technology and can respond quickly to market demand. Therefore, we hope Taiwan Excellence’s participation at FIBO will open up more opportunities for partnership between the Taiwanese and German fitness industries,” said Hung.
